Odisha: Two brothers killed in firing in Binika

Bhubaneswar, August 6: In a tragic incident, two brothers, including a police constable, were killed in a shooting at Chulimala village under Binika police limits of Sonepur district.

According to reports, the deceased have been identified as Manoj Jhankar (30) and Seshadeva Jhankar (28). Manoj was serving as a constable in the district police.

The incident occurred when both brothers were in a nearby field in the evening today.

Sources said a loud noise was heard by locals when the siblings were on the field. 

They were found lying in a pool of blood and were rushed to the Binika Community Health Center, where they were declared dead. 

A service pistol was found near the bodies, but the exact cause of the firing is still under investigation.

The local police are investigating the matter to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
