Paris, July 25: Former world No 1 and Commonwealth Games champion Prakash Padukone believes Indian badminton contingents can pick three medals in Paris Olympics 2024.

Padukone stated PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medal winner, has an opportunity to make it a hat-trick in Paris Games.

In men's singles, Padukone believes Lakshya Sen too has a realistic chance to have a podium finish.

Similarly, the men’s doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, who are presently ranked No 3 in the world, are among the top medal hopefuls.

The former shuttler stated Chirag and Satwik's consistency is their greatest strength and like all Indian fans, he too expects them to win a medal in Paris Olympics 2024.

Besides, in men's singles event, HS Prannoy, currently ranked World No 13, is another strong contender despite not being in the best form recently, Padukone added.

He also expected relatively inexperienced women's doubles pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto to make the most of their opportunity and to do well.
