Bhubaneswar, Oct 29: Raghubar Das will be sworn-in as the 26th Governor of Odisha on October 31, said official sources today.
As per the schedule, Das will arrive in Odisha tomorrow and will visit Puri to offer prayers at the Shree Jagannath Temple at around 10 am.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on October 31 at 11.45 am. Before the ceremony, he will also offer prayers at the Lingaraj Temple.
Notably, President Droupadi Murmu had appointed Raghubar Das as the next Governor of Odisha on October 18. He will succeed Prof. Ganeshi Lal.
Das has served as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2014 to 2019. He became the first non-tribal Chief Minister of the neighboring state.
