Bhubaneswar: The tollywood superstar Allu Arjun swag and ‘wild fire’ action has wowed the Hindi movie audience so greatly that the film Pushpa 2 The Rule in just 16 days stamped a record in the annals of Hindi movie to become the fastest ever highest grosser.
Pushpa 2 the Rule minted Rs 645 cr in just 16 days. As per senior film critic and trade pundit Taran Adarsh, “the film continues to dominate the Box Office, despite fresh competition... Rakes in double-digit collections, showcasing remarkable staying power... Solid growth is expected on Saturday and Sunday.”
As the film is meancingly moving towards Rs 700 cr net collection in Hindi, on Christmas day, Varun Dhawan’s Baby John is hitting the silver screens.
The moot question is will Pushpa 2 The Rule’s wild fire run will continue or Baby John will apply some brakes? The reason is Varun Dahwan starred movie is being released on 3000 plus screens.
Pushpa 2 The Rule was released on 6.5 K plus screens in India. The Hindi version was shown on 4.5k screens.

As per Sacnik report, it became the most-watched Hindi trailer of the year on the first full day.
Given the buzz, trade pundits expect the Varun Dhawan movie grossing Rs 13-16 crore net at the Indian box office on day 1 due to the Christmas holiday on December 25.

Trade pundits are of the view that Varun’s flick could have earned much higher, but the screen tussle with Pushpa 2 dented the movie’s earning potential.
