Bhubaneswar, Apr 17: In view of Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari’s one-day Odisha visit, the Commissionerate Police issued traffic advisory in Bhubaneswar today.
As per reports, during his day-long trip, Gadkari will first attend the birth anniversary celebration of Utkal Keshari Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab at Ravenshaw University in Cuttack.
Later in the afternoon, he will arrive in Bhubaneswar and inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several national highway projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore in Baramunda area of the city.
In view of the public meeting, there will likely be heavy traffic from Vani Vihar Square to Rasulgarh Square between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, passing through the World Skill Centre, and also in the opposite direction.
Traffic jams are also expected in and around Baramunda Square and nearby areas from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The police have asked people to plan their travel in advance and use other routes if possible to avoid traffic delays. They’ve also requested the public to cooperate so that traffic can be managed smoothly.
