Bhubaneswar, Apr 13: Utkal University in Bhubaneswar recently hosted the recruitment process for the prestigious Gandhi Fellowship, a flagship youth leadership program spearheaded by the Piramal Foundation.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of 60 dynamic applicants, hailing from premier institutions of both urban and rural Odisha and neighboring states.
The process offered a platform for aspiring youth to share their passion for social change and be the change agent leading social reforms, articulate their aspirations, and express their commitment to nation-building.
In a series of discussions and interactions, candidates shared powerful stories and demonstrated a deep desire to work at the grassroots, build their understanding on the challenges of the country, and co-create solutions to work on them during their fellowship tenure.
The recruitment drive was made possible through the collaboration of PG Council, Utkal University and Piramal Foundation with Prof. Abid Ali Khan, Director, UECH and Sarit Panda, Placement Officer of the Utkal University.
The drive was led by the alumnae of Gandhi Fellowship & Piramal Foundation team members Sangeeta Mamgain, Dibya Ranjan, Vandana Sharma, Saswata Sourava Panda, Shiraz, Nasir.
The applicants shared that the process inspired them to work on their skills, knowledge and mindset to become leaders in their community and work domains.
This process has made them realize about the importance of 21st Century skills to deal with problems of uncertain and volatile world.
