Yamunanagar, April 14: In a touching moment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Rampal Kashyap from Kaithal, who had vowed not to wear footwear until Modi became Prime Minister, and he got to meet him.
Fulfilling the 14-year-old promise, PM Modi made him wear shoes and advised him not to make such vows again.
“You should focus on work, not self-pain,” PM Modi told Kashyap.
Later, the Prime Minister posted on X, acknowledging Kashyap’s affection and urging supporters to direct such devotion toward social work and nation-building.
During his Haryana visit, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Yamunanagar and Hisar, including an 800 MW thermal power unit and a new airport terminal in Hisar. He also flagged off flights from Hisar to Ayodhya.
Addressing the crowd, Modi paid tributes to Guru Jambheshwar, Maharaja Agrasen, and Agroha Dham, and recalled his political journey in Haryana. On Ambedkar Jayanti, he reiterated the government’s commitment to Babasaheb’s vision and the upliftment of the underprivileged and marginalized.
