Burla, Ap 19: A private bus carrying passengers overturned near the Golgunda overbridge in Burla in the wee hours of Saturday. The conductor of the bus, identified as Pabitra Kumar Pradhan sustained grievous injury.
Sources said, the incident occurred while the bus was on its way from Burla to Phulbani when a truck hit from rear. Meanwhile the driver lost control over the vehicle and overturned.
However, all the passengers are safe only conductor sustained grievous injuries.
Being informed police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
In a similar incident, as many as 40 passengers sustained injuries in a road accident involving a private bus and a trailer truck in Odisha's Balasore district on April 16. The private passenger bus was traveling over a bridge near Satsang Vihar when it collided with a trailer. The bus was en route from Bhubaneswar to Balasore at the time of the crash.
