Bhubaneswar: The cop verse thrill hits the zenith when Director Rohit Shetty on Sunday in his Instagram post dropped the big excitement news for the fans of dashing supercop star Ajay Devgn by declaring that the trailer for his upcoming movie Singham Again will be relased on Monday.
In the Instagram video, the filmmaker Rohit Shetty could be heard saying in Hindi: We started and you motivated us. We worked really hard with all our heart, and you embraced us with appreciation, notiwthstanding the pandemic year. As festivals are celebrated with family, let's meet this Diwali."
In tandem with the new development, the internet is ablaze with the gossip that Salman Khan aka Chulbul Pandey, the Dabang star, will join the cop-verse and deliver a cameo in Singham Again releasing this Diwali.
The buzz in the B-town is Chulbul Pandey -, the Dabang Cop- will do a cameo in Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again. And the cameo action hasn’t been shot at till date. But the news seems confirmed on the dashing entry of Salman Khan in Singham Again. Days earlier, Rohit Shetty had dropped a hint when he talked about the Dabang cop aka Salman Khan.
The teaser of Singham Again was released on October 3, where cop star Ajay Devgn was snapped behind standing on a snowy mountainscape.
SINGHAM AGAIN FOR RECORD BOOKS?
As the D-day for Singham is closing in, and when it is clashing with another hit and big franchise Bhool Bhulaiya 3, it’s the right time to check the people’s pulse.
In the list of most anticipated Indian cinema, IMDb puts Singham Again at No 2 with a rating of 29.5 percent, and far ahead of Bhool Bhulaiya, which could garner a rating of mere 8.1 percent. The rating shows moviegoers Himalayan excitement for Singham Again.
Singham Again leads the bollywood pack, leaving behind big films like Amitabh Bachchan –Rajanikant starrer Vettaiyan, Karan Johar directed Alia Bhatt starred Jigra and Kanguva. However, among Bengali Cinemagoers, Singham Again seems trailing behind, as the Bengali movie Bohurupih had garnered a rate of 31 percent, 2 percent up over Singham Again.
AJAY DEVGN- THE ULTIMATE COP OF B –TOWN
Ajay Devgn made his maiden entry in 1991 with the action-romance drama Phool Aur Kaante. He excelled in another romatic drama Dilwale. But in the 2000s, Ajay donned the cap of the daredevilry cop of B-town. He dares, he cares and delivers the thrill of a supercop to the masses. The Phool Aur Kaante star emerged as the ultimate cop of B-town with Prakash Jha’s Gangajal, but the Dilwale star achieved the supercop stardom as Bajirao Singham in Rohit Shetty’s Singham.
The swag of Singham was simply unbeatable. The style of crushing the crooked in the movie Singham was a craze among the Gen next. Ajay has the supercop style quotient. His action seems soaked well into the skin of a daredevilry cop, who is up to banish the corrupt and rowdy elements in style.
With Ajay becoming the ultimate cop of B-town, Rohit Shetty launched the cop-verse and followed with films like Singham Returns, Simmba and Sooryavanshi. While B-town supercop Ajay Devgn was the lead hero in the Singham franchise, Ranveer Singh was the lead star in Simba and Akshya Kumar in Sooryavanshi.
