Acting on a tip-off, Vigilance conducted a raid and arrested the Revenue Supervisor Ganesh Mallick and Khirod Rath, a retired Amin for accepting Rs 4,000 as bribe from a complainant for processing the files to facilitate land acquisition payment

Jagatsinghpur, Mar 28: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday arrested an official of the Revenue Department and a retired Amin for demanding and accepting bribe.

Acting on a tip-off, Vigilance conducted a raid and arrested the Revenue Supervisor Ganesh Mallick and Khirod Rath, a retired Amin for accepting Rs 4,000 as bribe from a complainant for processing the files to facilitate land acquisition payment.

The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized from their possession.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at locations linked to the both accused to find out any disproportionate assets.
