Phulbani, June 17: Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian during his second day visit to Kandhamal district reviewed the progress of various development projects.
Pandian inspected the work of the 650-bed medical college and hospital which is under construction at Phulbalani at a cost of Rs 1000 crores and advised to complete the work. The admission will start in this medical college from next year. He hoped that this would bring about a big change in the health services of the district.
He also visited the Hill-View Park and butterfly park in Daringbadi, famous for eco-tourism. He opined that there is a lot of potential for the development of tourism in Daringbadi. He discussed with the forest department officials in charge of the management of these parks. He also advised the district collector to prepare a DPR for further development of tourism in Daringbadi. Pandian then visited the famous eco-cottage in Daringbadi. He expressed satisfaction that the members of Mission Shakti are managing it in a very professional manner.
Earlier on Friday, Pandian has visited the under-construction bus stand project at Phulbani and reviewed its construction work. Pandian has emphasized on the proper construction of various infrastructures for the convenience of passengers. A budget of Rs 5.29 crore is being spent on this project. He has directed to complete all the project work within the stipulated time frame.
