Mumbai, December 31: A member of the fact-finding team investigating the Anna University sexual assault case has recommended enhanced security measures, including stricter entry controls in colleges and more frequent monitoring of CCTV footage.

Praveen Dixit, former Director General of Police for Maharashtra and a National Commission for Women (NCW) panel member, highlighted the importance of preventing unauthorized access to campuses. He also stressed the need for improved safety measures in public transportation, suggesting the installation of CCTV cameras in buses and the inclusion of alarm buttons in taxis to ensure passengers' safety.

Dixit's remarks on Tuesday come as part of the ongoing investigation into the case and are aimed at strengthening security protocols across educational institutions and public transport systems.
