Bhubaneswar, July 2: With a breathtaking respite for the denizens of Balasore, the curfew has been lifted out completely from the violence-hit Balasore ULB on Tuesday, almost after a fortnight.
As peace and tranquillity in the clusters of the Balasore Municipality prevailed and no law and order situation was further reported, the district administration revoked the curfew after 14 days.
Balasore Collector Ashish Thakare said, curfew has been completely lifted from the town viewing better understanding and harmony among people.
Following this, vehicular communication and public movement were restored in the town.
Worth mentioning, curfew was imposed in the Balasore town on June 18 after a violent clash took place between two communities over the allegations of cow slaughter.
