India's 2025 Home Cricket Season
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially released the much-anticipated schedule for Team India's senior men's international home fixtures for 2025. It’s a packed season featuring exciting clashes against two formidable opponents: West Indies and South Africa. The action will span across all three major formats – Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
Kicks Off with the Windies
The home season gets underway on October 2nd, 2025, with a two-match Test series against the West Indies, sponsored by IDFC First Bank. Ahmedabad will host the series opener, followed by the second Test starting October 10th in the historic city of Kolkata. This promises a classic Test battle to start the cricketing fever.
South Africa Challenge:
Following the West Indies series, India prepares for a comprehensive tour with South Africa, covering Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. A significant highlight is Guwahati being awarded it’s first-ever Test match. The two-match Test series against the Proteas begins in New Delhi on November 14th, with the landmark Guwahati Test commencing on November 22nd. December will see the white-ball cricket, with a three-match ODI series followed by a five-match T20I series, concluding in Ahmedabad.
In total, fans can look forward to 4 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20Is on home soil during this period, offering a feast of international cricket. The BCCI has curated a schedule promising high-stakes encounters and showcasing cricket across various Indian cities.
