Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: Bhubaneswar is all set to host the Adivasi Mela 2025, a vibrant celebration of Odisha’s rich tribal culture and heritage, starting January 5.

The week-long event, organized by the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Department of the state government, will take place at the Unit-3 Exhibition Ground.

This much-awaited fair aims to offer a unique insight into the diverse lifestyle, traditions, and art forms of Odisha’s indigenous communities.

The Adivasi Mela will feature a tribal village, where visitors can explore a traditional tribal market, interact with local artisans, and experience the tribes' culinary delights.

Live cultural demonstrations, showcasing various tribal art forms and crafts, will further immerse attendees in the region's vibrant cultural landscape.

A special pavilion dedicated to the legendary freedom fighter Birsa Munda will be one of the event’s major highlights, commemorating his significant contributions to India’s independence movement.

The festival will run until January 11, providing a perfect prelude to the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, which will take place from January 8-10.

As Bhubaneswar prepares to welcome international delegates for the prestigious event, the Adivasi Mela serves as an important platform to showcase Odisha’s tribal heritage to the world, promoting cultural exchange and awareness.
