Kendrapara, Dec 28:The Kendrapara district administration has imposed prohibitory orders under section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) at Durga Mandap square in the Aul Bazaar on Saturday, for an escalating political dispute.
The prohibitory order will also be clamped in the adjoining areas of the Durga Mandap as an precaution against exigencies, said the order issued by the Magistrate.
According to reports, a tension erupted in the area between some BJP and BJD activists over erection of a New Year’s gate.
Anticipating law & order situations, the district administration regulated public meeting and gathering with Section 163, for an indefinite period.
The orders will remain in force until further notice.
