New Delhi, Jan 26: Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp criticism of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as election campaigning gains momentum ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5. With just days remaining until voters head to the polls, Shah accused the ruling party of failing to deliver on its promises.

Addressing a rally in Narela, Shah declared, "The elections are on February 5. The people of Narela will vote, and the counting will take place on February 8. On that day, Delhi will be free from 'AAPda'."

Shah referred to AAP as an "aapda" (disaster), echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's earlier remarks. He added, "The misgovernance under Kejriwal will come to an end on February 8."

Shah criticized the current state of Delhi under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, claiming, "In the last decade, states with double-engine governments have made significant progress, but Delhi is plagued with waterlogging, polluted water, and heaps of garbage."

The Home Minister also accused AAP of disrespecting Purvanchali voters.

"Not only has AAP caused chaos, but they’ve also insulted our Purvanchali brothers and sisters," Shah said.

"They claim that Purvanchalis are fake voters. Kejriwal ji, do my brothers and sisters from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand not have the right to vote in Delhi?" asked Shah.
