Bhubaneswar, Jan 3: Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati was sworn in as the 27th Governor of Odisha today. The oath of office was administered by Orissa High Court Chief Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.
The ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Odisha Assembly Speaker Surma Padhy, and other ministers from the Odisha Cabinet.
Leader of the Opposition Naveen Patnaik, Vice Chancellors from various universities, and numerous other dignitaries were also present.
Dr. Kambhampati, who previously served as the Governor of Mizoram, was appointed as the Governor of Odisha on 24th December 2024. After his arrival in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, he visited Puri to seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath and His Holy Siblings before formally assuming office.
