Ex-defence personnel creates a Mangalyaan structure in Odisha

Balasore, Aug 16: An ex-defence personnel has constructed a structure of Mangalyaan on the premises of his house in the Balasore district of Odisha. On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Balasore MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi unveiled the structure on Sunday. A large number of people had gathered at his house in Mansingh Bazar of the district. The 46-feet high structure has been constructed by Ramachandra Bhadra, who retired from the defence service in 2001. Bhadra is working as an artist post-retirement and started construction of the replica of the Mangalyaan two years back. Bhadra's son Manas Kumar Bhadra, who works as an engineer at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has helped him during his visit to the village. "I have constructed it with an aim to spread patriotism among people and students," said Bhadra.
