Ayodhya, Jan 22: Prime Minister Modi conducted the pran-pratishtha ceremony for Lord Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya Ram Temple's sanctum sanctorum.

The world was introduced to the first glimpse of the 51-inch idol, skillfully crafted by Arun Yogiraj from Karnataka. This rendition portrays Ram Lalla as a five-year-old, chosen over two other options for its ability to encapsulate innocence, divinity, and royalty with utmost finesse, as stated by the Trust authorities.

The idol is adorned with an array of jewelry, ranging from head to toe. Its hands hold a golden bow and arrow, while the forehead is graced with a tilak of silver and red. Ram Lalla wears a vibrant yellow dhoti, harmonizing with the hues of flowers and the dazzling jewelry. Amidst the grandeur of the jewelry, intricate flower decorations stand out, enhancing the idol's majestic appearance.

Indian Air Force (IAF) choppers on monday showered flower petals over Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple premises in Ayodhya as the idol of Ram Lalla is unveiled in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Pran Pratistha ceremony of ‘Ram Lalla idol’ performed in 84seconds. These 84 seconds are believed to be the most sacred of the 48-minute 'Abhijeet muhurat' which occurs once every day between sunrise and sunset. The ceremony held in this window when the Sun was at its peak during the Abhijeet muhurat.

Among others, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
