Bhubaneswar, Nov 5: The Odisha government is all set to organise a global symposium on “Shree Anna, improvised millet cultivation and other extinct Foods on November 10.
Odisha Deputy Chief Minister KV Singhdeo on Tuesday said that the symposium will promote food security and protect sustainable agricultural practices across the state.
Experts on agriculture and farm practices from across the country and outside would participate in the two-day international conference to be held at Krushi Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, Singhdeo said.
Underlining the sole aims and objectives of the development program, Singhdeo further said that the international conference and interaction among the stakeholders will help preparing a roadmap to promote Shree Anna and forgotten foods, especially growth of millet grains, one of the ancient and staple food supplements of Odisha.
