Mumbai, Oct 4: Superstar Govinda, fondly popular as CHICHI among his fans and Bollywood friends is now doing well after over 3 days to his gun-shot injuries.
The star actor was discharged from a Superspecialty Hospital in Mumbai in the afternoon after the treating doctors reported that the bullet injuries are healing up promptly and no infectious mass was found in or out side the grievous wound.
Four days ago the 60-year-old actor had undergone an ivasive surgery after he was accidentally shot from his own revolver on Tuesday.
At the time of discharge Govinda was advised at least one week bedrest, for complete healup and reparatory filling of the wound. Apart from it, the ace film star was prescribed nutrious and fibre diets by the dietician for a promt recovery and palliative management.
According to Govinda's daughter, Tina Ahuja, "He is better. He is getting well & good."
His wife, Sunita Ahuja, added that the actor has been advised to rest for at least six weeks at home with all bedside care.However she said that the Dancing Hero is yet to stand and properly lean on his injured leg.He is fine and will start dancing again in a few days aftercare.
Worth mentioning, Govinda was injured on Tuesday at his residence when he accidently fired the bullet as he was preparing to leave for the airport. The local police are investigating the incident, with the Mumbai crime branch also conducting a parallel inquiry. No complaints have been filed so far.
Dr. Ramesh Agarwal, who treated the actor, reported that the bullet struck below Govinda's left knee that required 8 to 10 stitches where as an emergency surgery was essentially done to bring the bullet out.
