Bhubaneswar, July 13: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday ordered a high-level probe into the fire incident that broke out at a private hospital in Cuttack.
Expressing concern over the fire incident, the Chief Minister directed the DG, Fire Services to probe the incident.
Majhi said that hospitals which are meant for saving the lives of patients must adopt adequate safeguards against such mishaps.
The Chief Minister directed the Health Secretary and Cuttack Collector to take immediate steps to shift the patients to other suitable hospitals and ensure proper treatment.
Expenses for their treatment will be borne by the government, he said.
Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling said that a high-level investigation will be conducted into the mishap.
