Bhubaneswar, Oct 26: A leopard was spotted at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. Some employees saw the wild animal near the dumping yard of the Bhubaneswar Airport aka BPIA this morning and informed the authority.
According to reports, security personnel at the Bhubaneswar Airport are on high alert following the leopard sighting.
The leopard entered the high security area of the airport and disappeared before it could be caught, said an employee.
The forest department personnel have launched a rescue operation being informed about the incident.
Notably, forest officials had caught a leopard from Bhubaneswar Airport premises on February 20 in 2019 and released into Chandaka forest.
