Bhubaneswar, March 26: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast an increase in temperatures across Odisha in the coming days.
Regional weather official says that the maximum (day) temperatures are expected to increase by 2-4°C over the next three days. In contrast, the minimum (night) temperatures will remain stable for the next 24 hours before rising by 2-3°C over the following four days across the state. This means residents should prepare for hotter days and warmer nights.
Over the past 24 hours, some areas recorded a significant increase of 2-4°C in maximum temperatures, while other regions saw little change. Daytime temperatures in parts of interior Odisha were 2°C below normal, while coastal areas experienced slightly higher temperatures, about 2°C above normal. The remaining areas of the state saw normal temperatures, according to the IMD report.
Regarding minimum temperatures, the state experienced varied patterns—some regions saw a significant drop of around 3°C, while others experienced an increase of 2-4°C. Most areas, however, reported no significant change.
