Chennai, July 5: Indian women's cricket team is enjoying a purple patch. After winning the three-match ODI series against visiting South Africa, they also posted a 10 wicket victory against the same opposition in the one off Test recently, here.
As part of the multi-format series between the two sides, the hosts would be playing a three T20Is against the Proteas, here. The first match would be played on Friday evening, here.
The second and third games would be played on Sunday and Tuesday respectively.
As per schedule, India and South Africa will play all the three T20Is at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, here.
It is the same venue, here where India won the Test match against Laura Wolvaardt-led South Africa.
Meanwhile, in the sidelines of their preparation for the three-game T20 series, Indian opener Smriti Mandhana stated she is not very comfortable playing the revere sweeps, but hopes to get acquainted with that in near future.
Mandhana, who 343 runs in three ODIs and a remarkable 149 runs in her only innings of the one-off Test, was in conversation with her fellow cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy for a special show.
