Keonjhar, Aug. 10: With another train accident in Odisha, an iron ore-laden train was derailed in Keonjhar on Thursday which stalled mineral transports for hours.
The incident took place at the Bileipada Kaliabeda Railways sliding in the afternoon.
Sources said a goods train after loading iron ore from the Bansapani Railways sliding moved to its destination. Meanwhile, the front train engine derailed all of a sudden while it was crossing the Bileipada- Kaliabeda sliding.
Being informed, railways officials with safety crews rushed to the spot and took stock of the matter. Subsequently, restoration work was initiated to bring the train engine onto the tracks.
On the other hand, an investigation was initiated to ascertain the reason behind the incident.
