Bhubaneswar: Fireworks this Diwali in B-town is for sure. 48 hours after the big-bang trailer release of Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again, Kartik Aryan starred hit franchise Bhool Bhulaiya’s sequel number three was released. The trailer has been a hit show as within 1 hrs Bhool Bhulaiya 3 garnered 1.4mn views and over 2.5Lakh likes. In three hours, the total views ballooned to over 3mn. In just three hours of release, the BB3 trailer is seen trending at number 2.
The comedy-horror franchise’s sequel number 3 has two wild cards – Madhuri Dixit as M/Anjulika and Tripti Dimri, B-town’s new sensation and lady love of Kartik Aryan. In Bhool Bhulaiya 2, Manjulika was Vidya Balan and Anjulika was Tabu. Kiara Advani was Kartik Aryan’s lady love.
The makers of the film portrayed the BB-3 as a ‘classic’ horror and ‘classic’ comedy movie. But the comedy plot sounds just old tricks – like the Kartik Aryan’s fleecing act where he utilise peoples’ fear for ghosts to the hilt to get his ducks in a row. Moreover, the trailer has little in its frame to zoom spine chilling horror scenes.
Who is Manjulika – Madhuri or Vidya? The plot thickens here. But will movie goers bother about this thickening plot? Are cinephiles stay glued to their cinema seats? The reaction to the trailer seems good. But November 1 will only sing the V song or S song for BB3.
Last month, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3's teaser was released wherein Manjulika is seen returning to reclaim her throne. The teaser sets off with Majulika seen screaming and asking why people are taking away her designation and chair. It seems the BB3 is all about Manjulika trying to reclaim forte – her mansion.
The scene of the trailer has been dance sequence of Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan. The scene has the awesome quotient. Tripti Dimri had the oomph quotient.
