Keonjhar, Nov 9: Two elephants which went inebriated after consuming Mahua near the Salipada village in Keonjhar have been awakened in the noon. They were found playing in water for a long time after they rose up following a deep-sleep for more than 18 hours. Sources said that, at least two elephants which were separated from their herd in the Patana Forest Range reportedly slept inebriated on Tuesday after consuming a huge cache of Mahua jam. Forest officials had cordoned off the pachyderms the whole night fearing any untoward situation. According to the forest officials of the Patna Forest Range, the elephants are almost normal. They took dips in a nearby ravine and stayed in the water for relief.
