Bhubaneswar, Jan 02: The Odisha government will organize ‘Krushi Odisha 2025’, a three-day event from 3-5th January at Biju Patanaik Play Ground here.
The mega event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Empowerment Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and other dignitaries will be present at the event.
The theme of this year Krushi Odisha is a step towards sustainable food system which has three sub-themes climate smart agriculture, organic farming and water governance.
The first day will exclusively be devoted for climate resilient food system and climate smart horticulture, the second day will be for soil health, natural farming and its value chain and the third day is devoted for Pani Panchayat Pakhya Palan with sustainable water governance.
A sustainable food system in Odisha aims to promote local economies, improve environmental health, and increase food security through a number of interconnected objectives.
This three days programme will showcase and leverage the great potential of state and enormous investment opportunities in agriculture, horticulture, food processing, and fisheries & animal husbandry sectors.
There will be footfall of around 10,000 farmers & farm women, SHGs, FPOs, NGOs, Pani Panchayat members, agri-entrepreneurs, exporters, students, research scholars, manufacturers from different corners of the state.
There will be 13 technical sessions in co-ordination with different state government department, central government , ICAR institutes , CGIAR institutes, non-govt organisation , farmer –scientist interactions , seminars, farmer facilitation centre, experience –learning centre ,display of farm machineries, more than 200 stalls exhibiting various farm produce and advanced technology in agriculture with an aim of seeing is believing,
The progressive farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, SHGs/FPOs from 30 districts of the state agriculture and allied sector who have shown their excellence in successful farming module will be felicitated in the event.
