Bargarh, Jan 24: A horrific incident of child sexual abuse was reported from Attabira in Odisha’s Bargarh district where a 36-year-old man has been arrested on charges of raping his 12-year-old daughter.
The incident came to light when the victim, during a phone call with her mother, disclosed the heinous act. Her mother, who lives separately due to marital discord, immediately rushed to Attabira and lodged a complaint at the local police station.
According to reports, the couple has two children, a 12-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son, who reside with their father in Attabira. The mother occasionally visits the home to meet her children.
The alleged rape occurred on Wednesday night. The victim was subsequently sent to the hospital for medical examination.
