Keonjhar, Jan 2: In a gory incident, a man allegedly killed his wife with an arrow over the suspicion of an extra-marital affair in Bamebari locality of Odisha's Keonjhar district late last night.
The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Chini Munda and the incident has been reported from Handibhanga village under Bamebari police limits in Odisha's the district.
According to reports, the accused, Dasara Munda, had been suspecting Chini of having an extramarital affair, which led to frequent disputes between the two.
A heated exchange of words ensued between the couple last night over the issue which later escalated and Dasara, in a fit of rage, attacked Chini with an arrow. The arrow was struck her in the chest.
Later this morning, Dasara and his family members took the victim to the Jhumphura Community Health Center (CHC) for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries.
The police have detained the accused and launched a probe into the matter.
