Hyderabad, Oct 3: Former Team India Captain and ace cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday.
Mohammad Azharuddin will be reportedly questioning over alleged financial irregularities in the Hyderabad Cricket Association(HCA).
Today’s procedure follows at least three complaints and charge sheets filed by the Telangana anti-corruption bureau for misappropriating HCA funds of Rs 20 crore.
According to reports, Azharuddin acknowledged the ED summon on October 2 wherein he was asked to appear on October 3.
He might be quizzed in connection with a money laundering case linked to alleged financial irregularities in the Hyderabad Cricket Association.
Worth mentioning, the probe is a part of alleged financial irregularities in the Hyderabad Cricket Association in which the ED had conducted searches in November 2024.
