Bhubaneswar, Dec 12: The Odisha BJP will get its new president in January 2025, party’s state-in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar said on Thursday in Bhubaneswar.
“Organisational elections have already started and Mandal elections are currently underway. An election to elect the new president will be held in January first week,” Tomar said.
Replying to media quarry he also said that “Many BJD MPs and MLAs are in contact with us”.
It is worth mentioning that the BJP came to power for the first time in Odisha this year during Manmohan Samal’s tenure as state president.
Notably, the BJP is set to complete organisational polls in half of the states by January 15 and it is likely to get its next national president in January.
Union Health Minister J P Nadda has been the party chief since January 2020 and has been on an extension since his term ended in 2023.
