Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: In a minor reshuffle within the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Odisha government today handed over new assignments to five IAS officers.
NBS Rajput, a 1999-batch officer, serving as the Principal Secretary to the Governor, has now been given the additional responsibility of Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Enterprises Department.
Temjenwapang Ao, a 2000-batch IAS officer, who has been serving as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Public Enterprises Department, will now take on the role of Special Secretary to the Government, Planning & Convergence Department.
Bhupendra Singh Poonia, a 2008-batch IAS officer, who has been holding multiple positions—Managing Director of IPICOL, Special Secretary to the Government in the Industries Department, and Managing Director of IDCO—has been assigned the additional role of Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government, Skill Development & Technical Education Department.
NBS Rajput's additional charge will be considered terminated once Poonia assumes his new responsibilities.
Prem Chandra Chaudhary, a 2010-batch officer, who was serving as the Director of Agriculture & Food Production, Odisha, and also holding the additional charge of Managing Director of Odisha Agro Industries Corporation Limited, has been appointed Director of Textiles & Handlooms, Odisha.
Arindam Dakua, a 2011-batch IAS officer, who had been serving as the Private Secretary to the Chief Minister of Odisha, has been appointed Director of Municipal Administration and Ex-officio Additional Secretary to the Government in the Housing & Urban Development Department.
