Bhubaneswar, November 9: The Odisha government has announced the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 across its universities and colleges, starting from the 2024-25 academic session.
This decision, spearheaded by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, aims to integrate the transformative NEP framework throughout Odisha’s higher education institutions.
The NEP 2020 seeks to overhaul India’s educational landscape by fostering a system rooted in Indian values, with the goal of positioning India as a global knowledge superpower. The policy emphasizes five key pillars: Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability, and Accountability, which collectively aim to provide high-quality education and equip students with skills to tackle national and global challenges.
Through this initiative, Odisha joins other states in adopting NEP’s inclusive and holistic approach, promising a brighter future for students and a more robust education system aligned with global standards.
