Odisha: MKCG Medical College staff attacked with swords

Berhampur, Dec 27: A senior clerk at MKCG Medical College & Hospital in Odisha’s Berhampur was severely injured in a brutal sword attack by three unidentified, masked youths on a motorcycle on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Kailash Sahu, was assaulted at Khodasingi Kuthari Sahi Chowk while returning home after his shift.
As per reports, the assailants ambushed Sahu and attacked him with swords. The assailants fled from the scene immediately after the attack. Sahu sustained critical injuries in his hands and legs.
After receiving initial treatment at a local hospital, he was transferred to AIIMS-Bhubaneswar for further medical care.
Police suspect that the assault may have been driven by previous personal enmity.
Further investigation into the incident is underway and the cops are working to nab the attackers.
