Bhubaneswar, Dec 27: The Odisha government has constituted the State Law Commission.
Former Judge of Orissa High Court, Justice Biswanath Rath has been appointed as Chairman of the commission, according to a notification issued by the Law Department.
Advocate General Pitambar Acharya, and Principal Secretary of Law Department will be the Ex Officio Members.
Senior advocates Surya Prakash Mishra and Soura Chandra Mohapatra have been posted as members of the Law Commission.
The government has also posted the Secretary of the Commission, who is ex-officio Additional Secretary to Government as the Member secretary.
