Balangir, Dec 28: The mutilated body of a 25-year-old woman was recovered from the railway tracks in Titlagarh area of Odisha’s Balangir district on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Kamala Rana, a resident of Tentulikhuti village.
As per reports, Kamala had a heated argument with her husband Kumarmani Rana on Friday night following which she left the house. Her family members searched for her all night but were unable to find her.
However, on Saturday morning some locals spotted Kamala’s body on the railway tracks near Sirol village under Titlagarh police limits the district and alerted the Government Railway Police.
Upon getting the information, GRP officials and the deceased’s family members reached the spot.
The police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to Kamala’s death.
