Bhadrak, Feb 26: In a tragic incident, at least three people were injured when two trucks plunged off a bridge at Gelapur Chhak on National Highway 16 in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the mishap occurred late last night when a container truck carrying electrical equipment and a large diesel generator was parked on the bridge and a speeding sand laden truck crashed into it from behind. As a result, both the vehicles plunged off the bridge.
After learning about the incident, locals rushed to the scene and jumped to their rescue. They pulled the injured person from the wreckage and rushed them to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for medical treatment.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.
