Baripada, Feb 4: In a disturbing incident reported from Chandua locality of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district, a youth allegedly hacked his father to death and later fled the scene with his severed head.
The accused has been identified as Danga Singh, who is reportedly suffering from mental health issues. He also attacked his mother and younger brother.
As per reports, a heated exchange of words erupted between Danga and his father Baidhara Singh over a family dispute late last night. It later took a violent turn when Danga attacked his father with a sharp weapon and beheaded him.
His gruesome advances didn’t stop there as the accused reportedly carried his father’s severed head and fled the scene.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and launched a probe into the gruesome murder. The cops seized Baidhara’s body and sent it for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the matter is underway and efforts are on to nab the accused, said the police.
