Berhampur, Oct 30: The MKCG Medical College and Hospital authorities have debarred five senior students for allegedly ragging some junior MBBS students.
The accused seniors have been debarred form the MKCG MCH campus for a period of 6-month, sources said.
As per the reports, based on a number of allegations raised by some junior MBBS students before the Medical Commission (NMC), the Dean had initiated an inquiry in this connection.
Acting on the directions of the NMC and report of the anti-ragging committee at the MCH disciplinary action was initiated against the offenders.
A while ago, a second-year MBBS student had raised serious allegations of mental and physical harassment against five fourth-year students of Hostel No 4.
The victim student with his parents had moved the National Medical Commission (NMC) for assistance and lawful action against the alleged seniors.
