Bhubaneswar, Aug 18: Students’ Union Elections will be conducted in Odisha colleges from the next academic session.
Odisha Law Minister Prithiwraj Harichandan informed it on Monday.
While responding to media persons on the Campus elections in colleges and varsities, Harichandan said that, the government is thinking on this aspect. Campus elections will be conducted peacefully in the colleges and varsities across the state from the next academic year.
The blueprint in this regard will be finalized in consultation with the Education department, said the Law minister, a former student union leader.
Campus eection across the state has been stalled since a few years following frequent clashes among students groups in most of the reputed colleges.
