Bhubaneswar, November 2: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Saturday announced that beneficiaries under the Subhadra Yojana will receive the money for the third phase by November 10. This phase will extend to those previously excluded, including Anganwadi workers, ensuring broader coverage under the scheme.
Similarly, the beneficiaries under this scheme will get the money for the fourth phase by the end of November, she added
The Deputy CM Parida said that approximately 1.20 crore women beneficiaries by the year’s end. Furthermore, she hinted at a forthcoming fourth phase to continue expanding the program’s reach. Launched on September 17, 2024, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Subhadra Yojana is a flagship initiative aimed at women’s empowerment in Odisha.
Deputy CM Parida also addressed the inclusion of previously overlooked beneficiaries. "A high-level committee recently reviewed the cases of 2.67 lakh women who were initially rejected for various reasons. A dedicated three-member committee, comprising the Block Development Officer (BDO), Tehsildar, and District Social Welfare Officers (DSWs), will rigorously re-verify each case to ensure that no genuine beneficiary is excluded," she said.
Parida emphasized that the Odisha government is to guarantee that every deserving woman receives the benefits she is entitled to under the Subhadra Yojana.
