Bhubaneswar, Oct 13: The Commissionerate Police will enforce traffic restrictions in Bhubaneswar on October 14 to accommodate the idol immersion procession of Goddess Durga. These restrictions will be in effect from 3 PM until 1 AM, or until the procession concludes, whichever comes first.
Details of the restrictions:
Bhubaneswar Bhasani Utsav Committee (Saheed Nagar): Traffic heading towards Rupali Square from Vani Vihar will be diverted from Vani Vihar to Acharya Vihar.
Janpath: All vehicles will be prohibited from traveling on Janpath. Traffic will be redirected to Sachivalay Marg and adjacent roads from 3 PM until 1 AM or until the procession concludes, whichever is earlier.
Rajdhani Mandir Suraksha Bhasani Samiti (Nayapalli): Vehicles approaching Cuttack from CRP Square will be diverted to Jaydev Vihar via Ekamra Park and Biju Pattnaik College. This diversion will be enforced from 3 PM until 1 AM or until the procession passes CRP Square.
Uttar Bhubaneswar Vasani Committee (C.S. Pur): Traffic heading towards Nalco Square from KIIT will be redirected to adjacent roads from Nandan Kanan Jayadev Vihar Road, starting at 3 PM and continuing until 1 AM or until the dispersal of the Medhas.
Heavy Vehicles: Vehicles coming from the Khurda side towards Bhubaneswar will be redirected at the Fire Station Over Bridge towards the flyover. The service road will be off-limits to all vehicles.
However, emergency vehicles, including those from the Police, Fire Brigade, Excise, and Ambulance services, are exempt from these regulations.
