Traffic restrictions in Puri for Navy Day celebration

Puri, Dec 4: Puri has imposed traffic restrictions today in anticipation of large crowds gathering for the Navy Day celebration at Blue Flag Beach. The event, which is set to be a grand affair, will be attended by President Droupadi Murmu as the chief guest.

According to the traffic advisory issued by Puri Police, vehicles coming from Bhubaneswar will be directed to enter the city through Malatipatpur, with parking arrangements made at Talabania for four-wheelers and near Hotel Sterling for two-wheelers.

Vehicles arriving from the Konark side, whether four-wheelers or two-wheelers, are also instructed to park at Talabania. Those coming from the Brahmagiri side will be directed to park near Hotel Sterling.

Special parking arrangements have been made for pass holders.

Orange pass holders can park their vehicles at Jail Road and Saradha Bali, while blue pass holders have designated parking spaces at Nilachal Ashok and SCS College.

To ensure smooth and safe traffic management, Puri Police have installed signboards at key traffic posts throughout the city. Puri SP Vinit Agrawal has appealed to the public to follow the advisory and cooperate with the authorities to ensure the success of the event.

Extra precautions have been taken for the President's visit, as she will be attending the high-profile Navy Day celebration as the Chief Guest on the beach.
