Bhubaneswar, Jan 04: As the countdown to Utkarsh Odisha-Make In Odisha Conclave begins, the state is on the brink of hosting one of its most ambitious industrial events yet.
With preparations in full swing and just weeks to go, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today reviewed the final stages of the event, ensuring that everything is set to make a lasting impression.
Utkarsh Odisha, scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from January 28 to January 30, is aimed at positioning the state as a preferred destination for investors both nationally and internationally.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address industrialists and investors on January 28.
The Principal Secretary of the Industries Department delivered a comprehensive presentation to the Chief Minister, detailing the progress of the event.
According to an official press release, Chief Minister Majhi emphasized the crucial need to establish a distinctive identity for Odisha among national and international investors.
He urged the team to execute all programs meticulously, ensuring that they are both flawless and appealing.
The Chief Minister underscored the importance of positioning Odisha as a long-term, preferred investment destination, enhancing its global appeal and economic prospects.
Significant role of CII
The presentation outlined the significant role of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in hosting the event. The CII will conduct its National Executive Council meeting on January 27, followed by two days of intensive discussions and conferences on January 28-29.
Plenary sessions
The event is expected to feature a robust agenda, including four plenary sessions, 16 sector-specific discussions, and four roundtable conferences. It is anticipated that around 3,000 participants will attend, including national and international industry leaders, investors, startup entrepreneurs, and other industrial stakeholders.
A key highlight of the event will be the address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 28, where he will speak to industrialists and investors, sharing insights and offering his vision for the country's industrial future.
In addition to the plenary and sector-specific sessions, the event will also feature speeches from prominent industrialists and CEOs, providing valuable perspectives on the global and national business landscape.
Special session for Odia entrepreneurs
A special session dedicated to Odia entrepreneurs will also be held, reinforcing the state's commitment to supporting local talent and innovation. Furthermore, the event will celebrate women in business with a session focused on women business leaders. Another unique feature of the event will be the dedicated session for Odia women entrepreneurs, titled "Subhadraru Mudra," which will highlight the contributions and potential of women in Odisha's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
