Cold wave persists in Odisha; Gradual temperature rise expected

Bhubaneswar, December 18: A cold wave continues to grip several parts of Odisha, with chilly nights and foggy mornings affecting daily life. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2°-3°C over the next two days, followed by stable weather conditions.

Rainfall and Fog Alerts

Light rain is expected in isolated areas of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Puri districts.

Dry weather will prevail in other parts of the state.

Shallow to moderate fog is likely in parts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Sundargarh.

Current Weather Observations

Maximum Temperature: Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur recorded the highest at 30.0°C.

Minimum Temperature: Rourkela experienced the coldest night at 7.2°C.
