86 Maoists surrendered before Telangana police

Hydrabad, April 5: As many as 86 members of CPI (Maoists) from the state of Chhattisgarh have on Saturday surrendered before Telangana police.

These Moist have surrendered to the police in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telengana today.

The 86 Maoists, including four Area Committee Members (ACMs) decided to abandon the violent path of naxalism and embrace a peaceful life with their family. They surrendered before the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Multi Zone-I, S Chandrashekhar Reddy, a police official release said.

Bhadradri Kothagudem Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju told that four hard core CPI (Maoists) who were working as Area Committee Members (ACMs) were carrying a reward of Rs four lakh each.
