Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Aahan bagged double titles by winning both Girls U-16 and U-18 titles in the 4th Ganeshswar Mishra Memorial TAB AITA-OTA Championship Series (CS7) U16 and U18 Tennis Tournament from 30th Sep'24 to 04th Oct' 24, at Kalinga Stadium Tennis Complex here. Being organised by the Tennis Association of Bhubaneswar (TAB) with the support of Odisha Tennis Association (OTA).
Altogether 55 players from seven States (West Bengal, Bihar, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh , Karnataka ,Telangana and host Odisha) participated in the five-day long tournament which concluded on Friday. The winner & runners up of this tournament will get 25 & 20 AITA ranking points respectively.
At the closing ceremony Sanjeeb Panda, Joint Secretary ,OTA distributed the trophies to the finalists in presence of the Sambit Pattnaik Administrative Officer, OTA and Jatin Batsya Tournament Referee.
Final Results: Girls U16 Singles: Aahan defeated Aradhyaa Verma from Odisha by 6-1,2-6,6-0,
Girls U18 Singles: Aahan defeated Prarthana Mondal (WB) by 6-2,6-0
Boys U16 Singles: Aditya Bikram Acharya (OD) defeated Channamallikarjuna Yale from Karnataka by 6-3,6-3.
Boys U18 Singles: Channamallikarjuna Yale from Karnataka defeated Kaamlesh Rath from Odisha by 6-1,2-6,7-6(0)
Boys U18 Doubles: Kaamlesh Rath (OD) and his state mate Aditya Bikram Acharya defeated Aman Singh (BR) & Abhishek Singh (BR) by 6-4,6-1.
